1. STRENGTHEN We increase the quality of the environment through the use of innovative low-impact materials that are permeable, recycled, recyclable, reflective, and non-toxic.

2. MANAGE We incorporate Green infrastructure into our designs to manage water. These may include bio swales and bioretention ponds; rain gardens; rain water harvesting; water recycling; and drip irrigation to better manage water. We locate plants to manage depleted ecosystems, windy conditions, and mitigate potential for fire damage.

3. ASSESS We perform a thorough Site Analysis that includes surrounding views, topography and vegetation, soil condition and type, micro-climates, solar considerations, watershed and wetland areas, existing grades, condition of existing trees, any wildlife habitats, noise mitigation.

4. RENEW We install plant material suited for the site. This reduces the use of excess water, energy, and chemical fertilizers and pesticides that would be required to get less suited plants established. These plants will also thrive once established, requiring less ongoingmaintenance. We prioritize the use of local, recycled, less processed materials; assess the energy required to mine, produce, ship and install materials; avoid petroleum-based products such as asphalt and plastics; and off-set CO2 at every opportunity.
