CKDS was engaged to transform a cherished second home and vineyard property into a cohesive and elevated landscape experience—one that restores the beauty of the site while honoring its natural setting and sweeping views.
The reimagined design includes a new master plan that connects a series of outdoor living spaces across the property: a restored pool terrace with infinity edge and integrated spa, shaded pergola for gathering, pétanque court, fire pit lounge, refreshed courtyard garden, orchard, vegetable beds, and a thoughtfully laid-out cutting garden. Each area is linked through wide stone-dust pathways edged in clean steel lines, allowing for easy flow and quiet discovery.
Planting design throughout emphasizes a naturalistic, low-maintenance palette with year-round interest—drought-tolerant, pollinator-friendly, and texturally rich. Mature roses were salvaged and relocated to form a scented pathway near the tennis court, while lush new borders surround the pool in a mix of Pittosporum, grasses, Arctostaphylos, and flowering perennials.
The result is a timeless retreat that invites both quiet reflection and joyful gathering—deeply rooted in the rhythm of the land and the lifestyle it inspires.
